Which Northeast festival dates are confirmed for November and December 2026, and which are still expected, from Nongkrem and Wangala to Raas, Sangai and Hornbill.
November and December are the Northeast's busiest festival months. Some dates are announced, some follow the lunar calendar and some haven't been confirmed yet. Here is where each one stands.

Nongkrem and Wangala, Meghalaya
The Nongkrem Dance at Smit is on 1–2 November and the 50th Wangala, the Garo harvest festival, runs 12–14 November. See our Meghalaya festival month report.
Sikkim Adventure Tourism Fest
The state's adventure festival runs 1–7 November at Linkhim Tar in Namchi district, with registration open on the official portal, Northeast News reported. See our full report.
Raas in Majuli
Raas follows the Kartika full moon, which falls on 24 November in 2026, according to a festival guide. Satras stage performances over several nights around that date, so confirm the programme locally. Stays on the island fill early. See our Majuli island guide.
Sangai Festival, Manipur
Sangai is usually held from 21 to 30 November. It wasn't held in 2023 or 2024 and returned in 2025, but the state hasn't announced 2026 dates yet. Check with Manipur Tourism before booking.
Hornbill Festival, Nagaland
